Mike Smith

In addition to advising Spuhler Associates, Mike Smith is currently the COO at Tradition Capital a regional bank in the Midwest. Prior to that Mike bought a turnaround business GMI, a manufacturer in the scientific laboratory equipment and instrumentation service space. He doubled this business along with instituting financial controls and systems before selling 4 years later for a sizable profit. Mike spent the bulk of his career working his way up to Vice President at LKQ Corporation / Keystone Automotive, a Fortune 500 company, North America’s largest provider of alternative collision auto parts, and a leading provider of recycled and remanufactured mechanical parts including engines and transmissions. Mike has strong contacts in the Industry including Insurance Companies. Mike obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Evangel University. He also has an MBA in Business & Finance from Cardinal Stritch University, Mike is married with 2 children. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and friends and most of all Boating.
